Stevie J. Biosketch
Dr. Stephen M. Jackson, cancer research scientist by day, dance enthusiast at all hours, has trained in theatre and a variety dance forms including modern, lyrical, hip-hop, and latin dance forms including salsa, cha-cha-cha, and bachata. He serves as a passionate instructor both locally and at Salsa Congresses, Festivals, and social venues in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Oklahoma, Maryland, Massachusetts, Colorado, and Virginia. Being shy himself and remembering the challenges he faced over the years, Stevie finds boldness through dance and takes great pleasure in sharing that experience with all dance levels, including those just beginning their joyous journey.
After serving more than 20 years as a dance and fitness instructor, teaching youth and adults alike, he founded Stevie J Dance Productions as an education/performance oriented organization committed to using the power of dance and fitness to build stronger ties between ALL races, ages, and cultures in our diverse communities. By providing intense pragmatic training with techniques applicable to most dance forms, Stevie hopes to demonstrate how one’s dedicated focus to growth in dance will provide tools that can be used to achieve sustainable success in other areas of life, including education, career development, agape love, and marital healing. His most recent joy comes from his time collaborating with other dance artists throughout the North Eastern United States.
